Safe Ice and Good Action on Tarryall!

Tarryall Reservoir has capped and has 3-10″ of ice across the lake!! It is always important to use caution on early ice as conditions can vary drastically from spot to spot. Trout fishing has been very good with lots of action for rainbow trout and cutbows in the 12-15″ range and some bigger ones showing up. Try depths of 8-20′ of water and keep moving until you find action. Small Pk flutter fish, swedish pimples, rat finkies, ratsos, and laser jigs (can be bought at Colorado Tackle Pro!) all tipped with a piece of meal worm, wax worm, or earthworm have all been working. Good luck and be safe! (Pictures courtesy of Chris Spaulding @ Colorado Tackle Pro!)
