Our guides have been busy fishing dark to dark every day and the fishing has been incredible! The new ice from Bay of Chickens to Middle Bridge is 6-8 inches.  With new ice there can always be variation.  The ice is a bit thicker on a small portion directly in front of the Bay of Chickens Cove and thickens as you go into the cove.  Most of the west end is 6-7 inches with the exception of the newest ice that stretches from Middle Bridge to about West Elk Creek.  The ice is a few days newer and measured 3.5-4 inches on 1/21/25.  

No pressure ridges yet but I expect we will see a few soon.  As always be safe out there and check you ice thickness as you go!
